Treatment Manager (East Sussex) - Criminal Justice Sector

Job Role

KSS CRC (Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company) are a leading provider of rehabilitation services for people who have been sentenced by a court to either custody or community supervision. As a high performing CRC we deliver a range of services designed to stop reoffending and prevent the harm caused to communities by crime.

 

Our dedicated Programmes team is responsible delivering HMPPS cognitive behavioral therapy Programmes, our approach places our servicer users at the heart of their rehabilitation journey. The established Programmes provide a suite of Accredited Programmes which meet the needs of our service users and cover topics such as domestic abuse, anger management, thinking skills and challenging behaviour.

 

The Treatment Manager is responsible for the effective delivery of Programmes within KSS CRC. You will provide support and supervision to Programme facilitators, oversee the running of accredited Programmes, be responsible for the selection of group members and for treatment integrity in order meet performance targets and achieve positive outcomes.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an existing treatment manager looking for a fresh challenge or someone with accredited Programmes experience (qualified in at least 1 Community Based Accredited Programme) looking to take the next step.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves planning and delivering group work and individual Programmes of interventions to our service users.  This includes responsibility for:

Programme tutoring

Recording data and contact information

Preparing and completing evaluation reports

Psychometric testing

Developing programmes

Providing reports on service users’ progress to case managers

Liaising with Programmes Coordinator, Case Managers and other staff

 

At the core of effective Programme delivery is a consistent, properly integrated and coordinated approach, based upon the What Works principles.

Skills and Experience

Education, Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Trained in the delivery of Building Better Relationships (BBR),Thinking Skills Programme (TSP), or one of the other community based HMPPS Accredited Programmes
  • Detailed theoretical knowledge of cognitive behavioural programmes and evidence based practice.
  • Understanding of risk factors related to domestic abuse
  • Understanding of factors related to offending e.g. substance misuse, accommodation issues
  • Understanding of case management.
  • Proven skills in the assessment of the criminogenic needs and risk posed by individuals.

 

The Ideal candidate will be competent in:

  • Leading group work programmes, supervising and providing support to others.
  • Training delivery skills.
  • Interviewing and counselling skills
  • Setting boundaries and exercising authority.
  • Making a difference by communicating effectively and influencing individuals.

Salary: £29,038 to £36,084 per annum (dependent on experience)

 

Location: Hastings

 

Hours: Full time. The role will require some evenings (until 10pm) and weekend work (Saturdays).
