Application Support Officer (6 months - Flexible Location)

Join our Application Team as an Application Support Officer. You will be responsible for providing the business with guidance and support for application users to ensure that the application systems supported by the department are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support for application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for application problems
  • Undertaking application problem analysis and resolution for application problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers. 
  • Assisting with implementation of software application projects. Provide technical input where required.  
  • Examining application functionality and performance and provide information about how it can be improved.  
  • Analysing data from systems and produce technical and business reports for consumption by departmental managers.  
  • Support Application roll outs to the business by providing user training and training materials.

Skills and Experience

  • A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable discussions with internal and external technical specialists 
  • A sound understanding of applications and data security 
  • Experience within a professional ICT environment planning, installing, maintaining, and supporting business applications 
  • Experience in some aspects of providing ICT applications support to users in a customer focused environment 
  • Experience of implementing and upgrading business applications 
  • Experience of analysing user needs and requirements, mapping process and documenting the results 

 

Additional Information

Salary: £23,850 - £26,500 p.a. (dependent on experience)
Location: Flexible Location with occasion travel to Hockley Head Office when required 

Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday- Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30pm Friday (Full Time)
