Group Information Security Officer (Flexible Location)

Job Role

Seetec are currently recruiting for an Information Security Officer to join the Group Risk and Assurance function, providing subject matter expertise and support across the Seetec Group.

Our ideal candidate will have a passion and drive for Information Security with a baseline level understanding of Information Security within an organisation. We are looking for someone early in their Information Security / Information Assurance / Information Governance career, who has had some exposure but would like to enhance their exposure and take on more of a challenge. You should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of Information Security Controls, Risk Management and Data Protection. Attitude and motivation to learn and develop is key.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the continued management of the Information Security Management System.
  • Drive the Information Security strategy and framework to provide a robust approach for managing data.
  • Providing support for security-related incidents, enquiries and reporting to, and from, the regulatory authorities, commissioners and customers.
  • Support the business to implement controls and measures to ensure adherence to legal, contractual and certification requirements.
  • Providing Information Security knowledge in a multi-site environment.
  • Conduct Information Security risk assessments and specific risk assessments where required due to changes in the business risk profile.
  • Creating and conducting training and awareness sessions.
  • Information Security questionnaires and due diligence assessments.
  • Develop and improve security procedures, standards and guidance documents.
  • Provide ad hoc subject matter advice and support to the business and supply chain.
  • Prepare reports for management and relevant boards/committees.
  • Promote the importance of Information Security policies, procedures and standards across the organisation.

Skills and Experience


  • Knowledge of Information Security legislative/regulatory requirements such as GDPR.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Understanding of Risk Management methodologies and risk-based techniques.
  • Experience of planning, completing and documenting compliance type activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high levels of attention to detail.



  • Experience of implementing measures to meet Information Security standards, e.g. ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
  • Experience of planning, completing and documenting Information Security risk assessments.
  • Experience of investigation of data breach incidents and commissioner reporting.
  • Experience of writing and implementing policies and procedures across multi-functional business areas.
  • Experience of business partnering with the first line of defence.
  • Experience of working for an organisation providing public services in a multi-site setting.
  • Working towards or have obtained qualification - CompTIA Security+ or CISMP (Certified Information Security Management Principles).

Additional Information

Salary: £33,150 - £39,000 p.a.  (dependent on experience)

Location: Flexible Location with occasional travel to Hockley Head Office if required

Hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday- Thursday 8.30 am - 4.30pm Friday (Full Time)
