Bristol, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire (BGSW) Probation Services is a division of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company (KSS CRC). We provide a broad range of probation services for those on community orders or licenses. Key Responsibilities


This role offers you the opportunity to work with our most complex service users to develop a detailed understanding of their offending and needs, then deliver on plans to improve their circumstances and behaviour. A strong background in risk assessment and the delivery of behaviour change interventions is essential to this role. You will be a leading member of the team utilising your probation officer or social work qualification to develop interventions and lend expertise in managing risk of harm. Our practitioners have the opportunity to work in specialist areas such as domestic abuse, resettlement following custody and with female service users.


A driven, innovative and collaborative approach to work is essential. You must be committed to providing a high quality of service alongside the ability to work in a performance driven environment. The role is highly varied and often exciting whilst also requiring patience and dedication to achieve long term goals. The role also provides the opportunity to work in a multi-agency context to ensure that our service users and potential victims are safeguarded and the services they need are obtained from a range of partners.

• Suitably qualified practitioners who inspire positive change every day

• Be able to learn and develop, while effectively utilising the support of your manager and colleagues to achieve results
• Be highly flexible and able to travel in the local area as required



Additional Information


Salary: £30,208 up to £37,174 per annum dependent on experience.

Location: Bristol

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week
