Group Safeguarding Transformation Lead (Remote) 6 month fixed term contract

Job Role

We’re seeking a Group Safeguarding Transformation Lead to be responsible for planning and delivering our safeguarding transformation project. 

You’ll develop the role of the Safeguarding Leads and work with them to refresh training and communications for staff. You’ll review policies and the governance of safeguarding across the group ensuring it’s consistently embedded in our reporting, audits and risk management. 

Working with various departments, you’ll ensure our record keeping and information management is effective, efficient and high quality.

Our ideal candidate will have safeguarding experience of vulnerable adults and/or children, experience working in a contract environment, and delivering change through a project management approach. 

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range of £45,000 to £50,000 p.a. pro rata (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location:   Remote

Hours:   37 hours a week.  Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm – 6 month fixed term contract

Closing Date:  7 May 2025

Key Responsibilities

•    Reviewing safeguarding policies and the interface between those policies and Seetec’s contractual obligations to customers and commissioners.
•    Developing the role of safeguarding leads within each part of Seetec’s business including their responsibilities, reporting, professional development, supervision and practice sharing.
•    Working with the safeguarding leads to refresh the training and communications for staff across Seetec, ensuring it is appropriate to the needs of each business unit.
•    Establishing a safeguarding committee, with an ongoing work programme to include practice sharing, case reviews, peer review and support and continuous improvement.
•    Working with colleagues to ensure record keeping and information management is effective and efficient including DBS decisions, single central records and safeguarding alerts and incidents.

Skills and Experience

Essential
•    Experience of safeguarding of vulnerable adults and/or safeguarding of children.
•    Experience of delivering change through a project management approach. 
•    Experience of working in a contract environment.

Desirable
•    Formally trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
•    Holds APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualifications.
•    Knowledge of MAPPA.
