Payroll Officer Part-time (Remote)
Job Role
We're hiring for a Payroll Officer to join our People Solutions team, with remote working available. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of a portfolio of outsourced payroll clients, delivering a comprehensive end-to-end payroll service while supporting business growth and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
As our Payroll Officer, you'll be responsible for managing the full payroll lifecycle for multiple SME clients, including payroll setup, processing, HMRC submissions, pension administration, reporting, reconciliations, year-end activities, and payroll compliance. You'll also play a key role in payroll audits, implementations, health checks, and business development activities.
You'll work closely with clients, pension providers, HMRC, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll services are delivered accurately, compliantly, and on time. Acting as a trusted payroll adviser, you'll provide expert guidance on payroll legislation, pensions, tax, and best practice while building strong long-term relationships with clients.
We're looking for a highly organised and technically capable payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be comfortable managing multiple payrolls and deadlines, explaining complex payroll matters to clients, and identifying opportunities to improve services and support wider business growth. Sage 50 or Brain payroll would be an advantage.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary (dependent on experience).
