IT Project Manager (Hockley)

Job Role

Join our team IT Department as Project Manager to provide project management leadership for the implementation and integration of IT projects within the business.  This role focusses specifically on supporting workstream leads, senior managers and project sponsors ensuring successful implementation of IT Infrastructure and Hardware solutions is delivered on time and to budget.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of IT Infrastructure Projects be an excellent communicator and problem solver with change management skills.  You will have the ability to initiate and implement effective strategies with clear goals and to make clear, informed, appropriate and timely decisions.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver the project to time, cost and scope requirements.
• Work with Senior IT leaders to ensure multiple IT projects are delivered on time.
• Develop strong and cooperative relationships.
• Lead the project team by ensuring that project tasks are in line with project sponsor and contractual requirements.
• Establish project schedules and governs external vendors and technical resources.
• Monitor and provide accurate, timely information and reports on Workstream status, activities and performance throughout the lifetime of the project.
• Recommend changes and improvements.
• Ensure quality of projects by utilisation of proven project methodology and adheres to Prince2/Agile.

Skills and Experience

Essential
• APM/Prince 2 qualification
• 5 years’ plus experience as a Project Manager with a proven track record of IT infrastructure projects
• A successful track record in managing budgets and programmes of projects
• Proven experience of working with senior managers and interpreting and translating their strategic plans into PM specifications using extensive knowledge of specialist area


Desirable 
• Graduate level degree in appropriate discipline or related qualification or equivalent experience 
• Experience in implementing major change projects and programmes
• Experience of working to Information Assurance/Governance requirements 
• Experience of leading, motivating and managing PM services and engaging with multiple management levels across technical users and business units in a related sector
• industry/sector/business to achieve significant, sustainable improvements with positive outcomes   
• Member of relevant professional body
• Working on Private/Public projects

Additional Information

Salary: £46,550 - £58,175 p.a.  (dependent on experience)
Location: Hockley, Essex
Hours: 37  a week.  Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm - Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
