Finance Manager (Remote)

Job Role

We're currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity: Finance Manager. This pivotal role will oversee the financial aspects of contracts governed by Open Book Reporting. The successful candidate will deliver a business focused finance service to the contract management team, external commissioners, and the Operational Team, holding overall responsibility for the finance function.

Key responsibilities include preparing detailed reports derived from management accounts across multiple contracts, ensuring they are suitable for commissioner review and audit. Any discrepancies between these reports and the original bid submissions must be thoroughly analysed and clearly explained to the wider Finance team. Identified over- or underspending will need to be escalated to Operational Management through structured meetings, enabling timely corrective action and ongoing monitoring. As these reports are required promptly after month-end, the ability to work efficiently and with precision is essential.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised accounting qualification—either ACA, ACCA, CIMA (qualified or part-qualified), or AAT Level 4—or possess equivalent experience gained through a proven track record in the field. Advanced Excel skills are essential, and familiarity with commercial bid modelling for future contracts will be highly advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral member of our dynamic, customer-focused finance team, contributing to its continued success.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £34,500 - £39,000 pa (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy additional days)
  • 2 Volunteer Days

  • Healthcare Cash Plan, incl. 3 x salary life assurance
  • Annual Salary Review
