Management Accountant (fixed term - 12 months)

We’re excited to be recruiting a Management Accountant to join our friendly and dedicated Finance Team on a fixed term contract for 12 months. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Group Financial Accountant and help create a supportive culture where budget holders feel confident and empowered. You’ll also play an important part in shaping our long‑term business plans and keeping everything running smoothly.
We’re looking for someone who is qualified or part‑qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), or AAT qualified/qualified by experience. If you enjoy using your analytical and management skills to drive performance, track key metrics, and prepare monthly management accounts, you’ll fit right in.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary range £36,000 - £38,000 p.a. (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:

Location: Remote
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm (fixed term - 12 months maternity cover)

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Responsibility and accountability for the pillars balance sheets reporting.
- Provide monthly analysis of all relevant balance sheet accounts and lead schedules.
- Responsibility and accountability for pillars profit and loss reporting.
- Responsibility and accountability for pillars cash flow reporting.
- Support the divisional Finance Business Partners with analysis.
- Liaison with internal and external audit teams, produce information and respond to requests appropriately.
- Support the Finance function in delivering the long term financial strategy with a focus on driving value and strategic management of funding across the business by challenging spend plans and taking a proactive role in looking for opportunities to deliver services more efficiently and effectively.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- A qualified/ part-qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA) or AAT/ qualified by experience.
- Previous management accounts experience.
- Ability to analyse and problem solve.
- The ability to meet tight deadlinesI
- Intermediate/ advance Excel skill.
Desirable:
- Sage 200 experience
