We're looking for an Employment Adviser to join our fantastic team. In this role, you'll provide tailored advice, guidance and encouragement to help participants overcome barriers to employment, build confidence and move closer to achieving their career aspirations.
You'll manage a diverse caseload of participants, supporting them throughout their journey into work. Acting as a trusted coach and mentor, you'll build strong relationships, provide motivation and challenge where needed, and help individuals develop the skills, confidence and resilience required to secure and sustain meaningful employment.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be target driven as well as a motivational adviser. You'll have a high level of initiative and motivation with the ability to seek out solutions to problems, and be able to work under pressure, without day to day supervision. However, we aren’t always looking for someone who ticks every single box we’re looking for someone who can provide a first class customer service, driven by our overarching aim to empower lives and improve communities.

In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary range of £26,500 to £29,545 per annum (dependent on experience) with these great additional benefits:

Location: The role will be working within our offices in Wiltshire. We have offices in Salisbury, Trowbridge, Devizes and Chippenham. The successful candidate is likely to cover multiple offices depending on caseload numbers. The office worked in can change and is dependant on referral numbers. Mileage is paid from base office.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30pm

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of customers, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers and move towards sustainable employment.
- Deliver a positive customer experience, encouraging engagement with the programme and its services.
- Conduct assessments to understand each customer's circumstances, strengths, ambitions and employment goals.
- Develop and review personalised SMART Action Plans to support positive and timely progression.
- Provide tailored job search, employability and interview preparation support to help customers secure suitable employment.
- Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all compliance, contractual and quality standards are met.
- Use local labour market knowledge to identify suitable employment opportunities and support successful job outcomes.
- Meet and strive to exceed individual performance targets and customer service standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Good working understanding of the local labour market within the specified geographical areas.
- Basic awareness of self-employment and related support pathways.
- Fully IT literate, with proficiency in a range of Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven success in a target-driven environment.
- Demonstrated capability to deliver services in line with contractual and quality standard
Desirable - Familiarity with the employability sector.
- Understanding of recruitment practices and employer needs.
- Background in providing information, advice and guidance to individuals.
- Full UK driving licence.
