Supply Chain Lead - (South West)
Job Role
We're hiring for a Supply Chain Lead to join our Youth Job Guarantee programme in the South West. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced partnership and performance management professional who is passionate about helping young people progress into sustainable employment.
In this role, you'll manage a network of delivery partners, ensuring high quality services, strong performance and positive outcomes for participants. You'll build collaborative relationships with subcontractors, monitor contract performance, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with contractual and quality standards.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you'll use performance data and insight to improve delivery, share best practice and help achieve contract targets while ensuring services meet the needs of local young people and employers.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in supply chain, contract or partnership management within a target driven environment, with a proven ability to drive performance, maintain quality standards and build effective stakeholder relationships. You'll be confident using performance data to identify improvements, highly proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience within employability, skills or welfare-to-work services, along with knowledge of the employability sector and local labour markets, would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a network of subcontracted delivery partners, ensuring contractual targets, quality standards and KPIs are achieved.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with subcontractors to drive performance and positive outcomes for young people.
- Use a balanced approach of challenge and support to help partners successfully deliver all aspects of their contract.
- Monitor and analyse performance data, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular contract review meetings and performance discussions with delivery partners across the region.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans to address delivery gaps and maximise contract outcomes.
- Work closely with Quality, Compliance, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure effective contract delivery and partner compliance.
- Support continuous improvement by sharing best practice, encouraging innovation and identifying new approaches to delivery.
- Ensure subcontractors maintain robust safeguarding, Prevent, Equality, Diversity and Health & Safety policies and practices.
- Establish effective operational delivery plans and support partners in developing capability and achieving sustainable success.
Skills and Experience

Proven ability to manage supply chains and delivery partner networks.

Strong background in target-focused performance management and quality assurance.

Ability to thrive in a high-performance, target-driven environment.

Fully IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and digital technologies, including Microsoft Teams.

Demonstrable success in delivering services against contractual and quality standards.
Desirable
- CIPS qualified.
- Knowledge of the employability industry.

Ability to identify, manage and mitigate operational risks.
- Understanding of applying continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of the local labour market and the challenges of the job market.
